Joseph Parker set for Christchurch showdown with ex NRL star in July
n what would be the biggest Trans-Tasman bout in history, reports suggest the two parties have been negotiating for months and could announce fight details in the next few days. "We don't have any contract signed by Joseph Parker at the moment but it's a fight that we're definitely thinking about," Barry told ONE News. It's understood Christchurch is being looked at as a potential venue and that the bout would take place in July. Parker, 24, is the mandatory challenger to Anthony Joshua's IBF heavyweight belt but will need to keep busy while he waits for a title shot, possibly in November.
