WATCH Cross dressing crook’s dress and wig FELL OFF during botched jewellery heist
Ryan Valentine, 39, teamed with a woman’s handbag, confidently swaggered into the jewellers possessing an imitation hand gun. But the cross-dressing crook was left red-faced when his bum was exposed after a member of staff boldly tackled him. The clumsy robber attempted to rob Cradlers House Jewellers on the High Street in Leatherhead, Surrey. He posed as a potential shopper and spoke to the owner of the shop David Dyer and his colleague. Mr Dyer rugby tackled the drag queen in a fight-or-flight response before his assistant Mr Wilson came to help. But co-defendant Raymond Price, 45, was waiting just outside sporting a motorcycle helmet as a disguise.Prosecutor Edward Culver said: “Mr Price was taken to the floor but during the struggle his helmet struck Mr Wilson, fracturing his left cheek.” Valentine made an escape through the door during the “scuffle” and hid in a Middlesex hotel with a third defendant Paula Jones, 29. But he was detained on a Gatwick flight after Ms Jones called the cops.
